We are pleased to announce that Janice Unruh Davidson, PhD, RN-BC, FNP-BC, NEA-BC, CNE, FAANP, a graduate professor at Chamberlain College of Nursing, will be inducted as a fellow into the National League for Nursing’s (NLN) Academy of Nursing Education on Sept. 21, 2012 at the annual NLN Education Summit.
The NLN established the Academy of Nursing Education to foster excellence in nursing education by recognizing and capitalizing on the wisdom of nurse educators who have made significant contributions to nursing education. Dr. Davidson is one of 32 distinguished nurse educators being inducted this year, joining the 117 fellows representing nursing schools and programs throughout the U.S.
“The mission of the NLN is particularly significant in today’s healthcare climate in which a national shortage of nurses and nurse educators continues to affect our workforce,” said Susan Groenwald, PhD(c), MSN, president of Chamberlain College of Nursing. “Dr. Davidson can work with the NLN to help respond to these issues, as well as provide counsel for the incoming pipeline of nurses and nurse educators. Chamberlain is grateful to have her counsel, and we congratulate her as she accepts this recognition of her achievement.”
