Indianapolis Race for the Cure
Our Chamberlain College of Nursing Team at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Indianapolis!

In Feb. 2012, the Indianapolis campus of Chamberlain College of Nursing first opened its doors, and our nursing students are ready to celebrate!

“There will be greater demand on the healthcare system in coming years, and our workforce needs to be ready,” Susan Groenwald, PhD(c), MSN, national president of Chamberlain College of Nursing, said when first announcing the campus. “Indiana will not be able to build a strong nursing workforce if prospective nurses do not have adequate access to quality nursing education. Through the opening of the Indianapolis campus, Chamberlain will educate future nursing professionals to meet the state’s healthcare demands.”

The Chamberlain community will come together for the grand opening Thursday, Oct. 11. Speakers for the day include President Groenwald; Margaret Harvey, PhD, MSN, MAT, RN, president of Chamberlain’s Indianapolis campus; Amy Little, RN, BSN, coordinator of the clinical education department of Wishard Health Services; and Bill Coit, director of the Indianapolis Campus for DeVry University.

Gregory N. Larkin, state health commissioner for the Indiana State Department of Health, will serve as keynote speaker for the celebration. In this role, he works to continue the state’s progress in immunizing children, reporting and reducing medical errors, and changing the health culture of Indiana.

The next session of classes at our Indianapolis campus starts Oct. 29, 2012. Visit us for an open house or request more information today!
