Chamberlain’s Rotaract Club has been busy serving the Columbus community over the last several months. Read on to learn more about their most recent events.

Rotaract members as well as Chamberlain staff participated in the American Lung Association (ALA) “Fight for Air Climb” on Feb. 2, 2013. The event was held at the Rhodes Tower in downtown Columbus. Participants raced up 40 flights of stairs to raise money for the ALA, which is then going to send children to a week of asthma camp at Flying Horse Farms. Students and staff assisted with registration, motivated participants, monitored for potential problems in the stairwells and cleaned up after the event. We are looking forward to future collaboration with the ALA.

Coming Soon! Purple Teen Party

Chamberlain Rotaract Club has partnered with Jewish Family Services to provide service to the community. The Rotaract Club is assisting with the preparations for the upcoming Purple Teen Party, an event which raises awareness of teen dating violence and gives adolescent girls strategies for self-empowerment. Members spent time preparing the gift bags that will be distributed to the attendees and will also be volunteering at the actual event.
