CMLP student leaders web

In September 2013, a group of DeVry and Chamberlain students from the Addison, Tinley Park and Chicago campuses embarked on a journey of leadership through the Chicago Metro Leadership Program (CMLP). They started their journey at Camp Manitoqua, where they learned to work as a team on the low ropes course and later faced their fears on the high ropes course and the zip line. Afterwards, students participated in leadership workshops that allowed them to learn different aspects of leadership from the very best mentors. The different workshops centered on leadership theories, communication styles, change management, professional development, diversity, values and ethics.

Aside from these workshops, CMLP members also participated in a service project where they painted murals at inner-city schools for Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend and also in the ACAA Leadership Exchange. On February 12th, 2013, all of the leaders came together at the Willowbrook Ballroom to celebrate all that they have learned and accomplished. The celebration consisted of dinner, a faculty panel in which the students were able to ask questions, and an awards ceremony.
