National Nurses Week may be over, but National Nurses Month marches on. Chamberlain students across the nation took part in various activities and events celebrating their dedication to becoming nurses as well as the care registered nurses give their patients.

Here’s a look at National Nurses Week in action at our Troy, Phoenix and St. Louis campuses.

Extraordinary Care Starts Here

Kicking off their celebration, students in Troy, MI took time to add their thoughts to a board supporting ideas for how nurses can better care for their patients, those around them and themselves.

Students in Troy also wrote and decorated letters to patients currently in Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals. This extra step towards caring for patients’ emotional needs as well, even from great distances, is emphasized in the Chamberlain Care.

Meeting an Icon

Students at the Phoenix campus got the chance to have their picture taken with nursing’s most recognizable face — the lady with the lamp, Florence Nightingale. Keeping with the historical spirit, they also created their own old-fashioned nursing hats.
